This class is US history class and our teacher is Mr. tennant. The movie we watch is called “The Founding Fathers” we also watch “the Revolutionary war”. I learn about the things that the United States had to do in order to make the 13 colonies. This opened my eyes to realize that there were many characteristics that we no longer have. Back in the days there were slaves and women couldn't vote, but then yet again, not all things changed. Things like wealthy people owning big property of lands stayed the same.
The Founding Father were Samuel Adams, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson & George Washington. Samuel Adams was a rebel and was talented in politics. John Adams enjoyed luxury and wealth. Even though they all had differences they all became successful revolutionaries. Sam Adams & John both opposed taxes because as soon as the war ended in 1763 they had to pay higher taxes. Like when they wanted to mail letters they had to pay a stamp tax. They were given debt which is so totally not fair ! . The Last Clipped we watched explained and showed the fight between Daniel & the Native Americans. Daniel claimed land that wasn’t his. The land was the Native Americans land. One day they were collecting water to turn it into salt and the Native Americans saw them & captured them . They sold the rest but Daniel managed to escape & make a fort that the Native Americans couldn’t destroy. Something interesting I learned about people in history was that they carried diaries. All common people had these and wrote about their day all the time. Amazingly, most of these journals survived to this day. Now we can learn more about them and their personal life. There are copies of these books in many libraries so anyone can read them today. This teaches us more about their personality and thoughts.
